Rocky Top Autumn

We’ve enjoyed spending the beginning of Fall in Tennessee with Matthew’s family.

East Bound Voyage #2 – 1,272 Miles

It was nice to be back in Shreveport/Bossier if only for a night. We crammed a lot in! (And it included good food, of course!)

Phoenix Phun

We’re so glad we got to hang out with Chuck and Mindy at their new home in Phoenix. We even got some extra time we weren’t expecting!

Easter 2017 Photo Album

It was great to all be together for Easter this year. Dad preached the Three Nails Service on Good Friday and the community Easter Sunrise Service so we were all thankful to be here with him. And in typical Griffin fashion, we enjoyed some yummy food too, plus the Crawfish Festival!

SOP Farewell Party

SOP threw me a fabulous Farewell on October 31. It was the kindest, most heartfelt gathering of amazing people. It was Louisiana/MardiGras-themed with lots of homemade goodies from faculty. I love SOP and will always be grateful for my years there. Thank you to many of you for welcoming me 7 years ago and making this Louisiana girl feel at home across the country in California!

Red Nose Day

I guess since it’s National Red Nose Day, I have to happily re-post this. #rednoseday #emergencyclownnose #girlfriends

(Mindy gave everyone a clown nose in their goody bag for my 45th birthday.)

Easter 2016

A beautiful Easter with family and the perfect ending by Face-timing with Dad! #Easter2016 #delicousmeal #CAtalkingtoAL

Via Dolorosa

I’ll never forget walking the path that Jesus walked. #GoodFriday2016 #IsraelTrip2012 #ViaDolorosa #ItIsFinished

Road Trip to Temecula

I’m happy to start a new project that took me to Catalina Island for a few days!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Happy Lunar New Year! Ten years ago Matthew and I were in Singapore and Indonesia for Lunar New Year visiting Charles and Mindy. These are some of my favorite photos!

Enjoying His Creation

Photos from my day away on Thursday…a beautiful day!

Happy New Year

Our 2016 started very early as we walked the Rose Parade route in frigid (to us!) temperatures. We’re always amazed at all the people that spend the night on the sidewalk. We’re thankful that we live 2 blocks away!

We enjoyed seeing all the floats that Ginger decorated and all four of them won an award!

donate life
Donate Life Float (and our street sign). Winner of the Isabella Coleman Trophy – best color harmony.  Good thing we found those 2 boxes of flowers that were lost!
Look at the moss under the castle and behind the PBS sign!  I guess all that glue on our hands was worth it!  Queen’s Trophy Award!
Check out those claws we made from orange and grapefruit skins. We cut a lot of them!  Singpoli Group with the Sweepstakes Trophy, “most beautiful entry in the parade with outstanding floral presentation and design.”
The LA Laker float won the Judges’ Special Trophy.  Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Paula Abdul were on this float.

And just like that…it was over!  Happy New Year!

HBD, Mindy Loo!

Today is the BIRTHDAY of my fabulous, wacky, optimistic, funny, crazy, wonderful, sister-in-law. So thankful the Lord put us in California at the same time! Happy Birthday, Mindy Loo!! #ProvidentialTiming #MyBrotherMarriedWell #IveKnownHer39Years #ButWeAreNotOld

So I haven’t really had time to process last night’s amazing birthday bash yet because I’m not even sure where to start but I’m super blessed to have spent the evening with these incredible women, several who traveled from afar. Thanks again, Mindy, for all the surprises, and Beth, Stefene, Jennifer, Jenn, Meg and Bridget for helping me celebrate this beautiful life. #KellyClarksonConcert #GinjaLove #Fantastic45

Dad’s 80th Birthday

We celebrated Dad’s 80th birthday in November.  Chuck, Mindy, Matthew and I all went to Alabama to celebrate our “Super Man”.

Bailey Girl

We adopted Bailey from Chicago’s Anti-Cruelty society in September 2007.  It was great to have a dog again after 5 years without one.  She’s our fur-buddy!
