Matthew is currently a Ph.D. Graduand in Theology, Ethics, and Culture at Fuller Seminary’s Center for Advanced Theological Studies. He’s scheduled to be hooded and walk across that stage in June!
His background includes business, information technology, theology, and ethics. He has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors in communications, new media, information technology, and bioethics research. A chapter he wrote, “Human 2.0: Transhumanism as a Cultural Trend,” appears in Everyday Theology: How to Read Texts and Interpret Trends. It is the preview chapter for the book, so it is available as a PDF on the publisher’s website. He is also a contributing author to The New Media Frontier, having co-written chapters on podcasting & vlogging and on bioethics & blogging. He’s co-written and co-produced six documentary films on diverse bioethics topics. He’s a Fellow of the Paul Ramsey Institute, and a member of the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences and the American Academy of Religion.
