Once again heartbroken to lose another amazing person far too soon. I had the privilege and honor to work closely with Evelyne the last few years as her Instructional Designer. She was Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Intercultural Relations, and I worked with her on 2 courses “Women and the Family in Islam” and “World Religions, Art, and Symbols”.
Can you imagine? What a privilege!
She would often say to her students, “Christian witness requires much love and patience. The disciples walked closely with Jesus for several years, asked many questions, saw many miracles, before they realized who Jesus truly was. I wish that Jesus’ love and patience for those who did not trust him will be a model in your witness toward people from other faiths.”
I will miss her and our conversations.
