It’s a year like this one that has found me saying quite often “oh my gracious, I wish Mom was here!” Yes, I say that a lot already, but this year it’s been almost daily. There are so many days where I could use her love, laughter, and advice. So here’s your annual reminder: if you can, call your mom today, ask her a question or two that you’ve been meaning to ask, and make her laugh! And if yours is also gone, reach out to someone else who means the world to you. Life is short. Show someone you care.
**This photo – we organized a food drive together when I was in high school and we were posing for a photo for the paper. Moments like this, planning and working together on service or missions projects, are some of my fondest memories. I’m so thankful for her example and for those times of love and laughter.**
